Finding reference pics for my cosplay master list has proven difficult.  Mostly because I'm lazy.  As I perused cosplay.com for inspiration and popular characters to cosplay, I wondered why more people aren't cosplaying Lan Fan or Mei Chang from FMA?  ...I did find a very, extremely cute photo of a family dressed up as the Hughes family (via Google search.)  I just about cried.  So sweet.

After a month or two of hemmin' and hawin' on my part, deedeearrmax and I are Otakon bound! 8DDD

Buffalo burgers are pretty good, though I wolfed them down so quickly that I didn't have much time to truly appreciate their flavor. My nephew is adorable and gooey, and he bites hard. If anything, my germ-a-phobia and ultra-sensitive gag reflex will prevent me from ever wanting children (that, and my fear of the whole painful birthing process.) Yeah, kids are cute. XD

Received an A in Japanese. :DD I mucked around with my schedule for next semester and dropped Intro to Cultural Anthropology (will take some time later,) so now I'm taking Intro to Languages (instead of the anthropology course (linguistics FTW,)) Japanese (the only thing open was the distance learning course,) First Year Seminar, and Elements of Algebra (because I suck at math.) 11 credits, so I'm still a part-time student. Damn. Next year~

I'm pretty excited to see The Golden Compass, which is receiving mixed reviews but dammit, Ian McKellen is in it (his voice is, at least) and it's based on an amazing book series.  Plus Daniel Craig (the latest Bond) is smokin' hawt.  I've just started reading the book for the second time in order to refresh my memory.  Pullman's style is so clear and concise, and his Lyra is such a wonderfully admirable character.  I can't wait to move on to books 2 and 3.  ^^

One of my friends in my Japanese class has an alethiometer; she showed it to me today when she saw I had the book.  She won it at the movie theatre in some kind of giveaway.  It's an amazing little pocket watch, complete with the four hands and little pictures around the face.  I have a fascination for pocket watches, so I was really envious.  XD

She also told me that her mom won't allow her to read the books, since she's afraid her daughter will "turn atheist."  My God, woman, reading His Dark Materials will not make you an atheist.  Just like Harry Potter will not turn you into a witch or wizard.  They're friggin' not spreading the word of the devil.  Seriously, WTF.  The whole controversy over the movie makes me sick.  The HDM series is a good story.  End of story.

I would rant more but my sinuses are exploding.

According to the quiz on the official movie site, my dæmon is a ladybird called Agapius due to the fact that my personality is supposedly "responsible, modest, inquisitive, assertive, and passive."  (Assertive and passive are opposites??)  I've taken that quiz two separate times and got the ladybird (they creep me out) so I guess that's it.  :D

My dad and I went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner.  Their Orange Chicken and Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake are extremely freaking good~  ^^  I received all seven Peacemaker Kurogane DVDs from my dad.... which means I get Tatsu on the reversible cover for volume #4.  (Ryoma's on the other side.  That's got to mean something, right?  XD)  I love all of the inserts and character stuff.  The stuff on Tetsu will help me on my cosplay...

My mom and I will be making a trip to Minado's on Sunday, and I'll also get to see my grandfather.  ^^ 

Life is nice right now.  I'm in a good place.  (I'm sorry for the lack of detail.  I never know what to write anymore.  -_-)

...Hmmm, I was looking for a certain meme and came across some fun YouTube links on diabel_gt's journal.  I clicked on the first one in her post (which isn't loading for me for some reason) and then on one of the Related Video links.  The one I watched is a clip from the extras in the Budokai 3 video game.  It really shows how removed I am from the dubbed anime voice acting scene, because, boy, did this thing surprise me.  O___O  It's sooo weird to hear those voices come from real people.  XD  (I mean that in a nice way.)  I'm trying desperately to hold back on my feelings regarding a certain someone who does something with her voice that annoys me because omg rrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

DBZ Voice Actors.  In case you're curious.  I genuinely *love* voice acting/actors, so I really don't want to be harsh.  It's just that a lot of the DBZ dub voices ...rub me the wrong way.

....Man, I really must do my Expos. assignment.  T__T  No more writing plz~  I kind of like this class, but I can't wait till this semester ends.  86/87 on my Japanese midterm.  Stupid freaking doyoubi (Saturday) screwed me up; I added an extra "u" in there...  DD:  At least I'll never forget how to write it, especially now that we've learned the kanji for the days of the week.
