Ahahaha~~  I just finished watching Sense and Sensibility!  I'm overjoyed by the fact that Ang Lee directed it, and amused that so many Harry Potter actors were in it (Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Imelda Staunton, Robert Hardy, Elizabeth Spriggs, and Gemma Jones; Patrick Doyle even composed the score).  I've found a new favorite character in Colonel Brandon... which of course has nothing to do with the fact that Alan Rickman played him.  XP  Brandon is precisely the type of character I fall in love with: honorable, damn serious (but unintentionally funny), slightly awkward in social situations, steadfast, a bit shy and aloof, stubborn..... and with that rare smile so that when he does, the skies open up and the choir starts to sing....  *swoon*

I regret not reading Pride and Prejudice when it was assigned in Lit class in high school.  (I had an excuse.  XP)  But I think I'll enjoy reading Sense when I finally get my hands on a copy.  The movie gave me a glimpse into Brandon's character, and I'm hoping there's more about him in the original material.  X3  In addition, I felt the movie was lacking in certain essential details and story elements, like it was just skimming the world which Austen had created, and I'm hoping the novel will satisfy.

Alan Rickman is pure love, though.  (Glasses!Alan Rickman is the sexiest Alan Rickman ever.)  I really want to download the Sweeny Todd soundtrack and listen to him sing.  XD

Man, closing in on 1000 pageviews at my pitiful deviantART site.  ...Should start thinking about doing something for the 1000th.  XD

To Do:
- Check out Joann's for fabric.
- Go to music store and inquire about violin lessons. (Apparently playing violin left-handed is unusual.  Oh well.  XP  I'll do it anyway!)
- Plan NYC trip.
- Buy desk at IKEA.
- register for AnimeNEXT.
- figure out budget for all living expenses.
- find a roommate and an apartment for next semester.
- not freak out about the last two things.

About the NYC thing: [info]unyuu, would the 26th be OK?  I feel obligated to you to get this thing organized as soon as possible, but I also promised a few college buddies that we'd all go into the city together.  What do you think?  ^^;;  I really rather do it sooner, but things are semi-crazy, and I'm so sorry to make you wait so long!  (Obviously, you don't have to wait for me if you feel pressed for time, but you know that...  ^^  I'm just a nut.)

I liked Sense and Sensibility (and Colonel Brandon/Alan Rickman, too ^^). Though I preferred Pride and Prejudice as a novel - I think you'd probably enjoy it if you liked S&S. Mr. Darcy is a bit like how you described Colonel Brandon, only more standoffish - and he's played by Colin Firth, whom I also really like. ^^

UHMMM. I usualy work the late shift on saturdays, so we can do something in the afternoon on the 26th if you like! <3 I also have fridays totally open, if you decide to go on that day instead.. XD If not, I can probably sweet-talk my manager into switching my days for that week so I get saturday off. 8D

Weirdly enough, I don't care for him in the Snape role. Could be because I don't care for Snape, but I like Snape more in the movies because it's Alan Rickman. ^^;;;;

Lists are hard to follow... There are still a lot of things I need to do that I haven't done yet.

Also, I am so glad you're feeling better, dear! *hugs*

YES!!! Love Actually is one of my favorite movies ever! Seeing Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson act together in Sense & Sensibility made me lol a lot.
