JOURNAL  This is Kinoko's fandom journal, though she does post about real life stuff.  Most of her entires are public, save for the occasional woeful or inappropriate posts, which are dutifully F-locked.  Kinoko tries very hard to keep things PG-rated. (...) She enjoys sarcasm and dry humor and employs them to the max extent.  She doesn't like to take herself seriously.

Reading her meandering profile page will give you some sense of the fandoms and things in which Kinoko is currently interested.  She loves, loves, loves Dragon Ball/Z and is a proud Tenshinhan fan(girl).  X3  In fact, she tends to fall *very* hard for her favorite fictional characters and often experiences the story through her love of the cast.  She loves human dramas and stuff with a lot of character interaction and emotion.  In her heart, manga will forever take precedence over anime.

Kinoko has been studying the Japanese language on her own for about six years, with the help of dictionaries and grammar books and lots of manga (which is actually a pretty bad study tool, but it kind of worked...).  Now that she is taking formal classes in college and loving every second, her deep respect and knowledge of Japanese is growing.  Kinoko hopes to live in Japan someday and teach English.

Recently, Kinoko's been getting into cosplay.  She marvels at the wonderful skill and general awesomeness of cosplayers, and now that she's armed with a sewing machine and a couple of patterns, she's ready to bang out a hand-made costume of her own.  Be very afraid.
